He's almost here!!

On Saturday, we get to bring our little Rufus home. However I'm embarrassed to admit that he does not have a name yet. We've thought and thought and can't agree on a name.
We went to Nebraska to look at him last Sunday where we found out that we get him a day early - Although it is only a day, it works out great because I have school on Monday and most of Sunday would have been spent driving and I would not have got much time with him. This way, we can get him Saturday afternoon and play with him all Sunday. His whole litter is so much fun - in the above picture, those are only his brothers. My sister has fallen in love with the little female runt. They are all so amazingly adorable.
I am beyond excited to get him and start our lives together, but I am sad about Caia. I have very mixed emotions about the whole thing but I know that I must move on.
Anyway, I'm so excited for out little guy - BUT we NEED A NAME!!!! :)

Introducing....

Getting a puppy is one of the most exciting yet dreaded things I've ever done. It was with getting Caia and it is with this puppy too. With Caia, we were promised first pick (and picked a differend puppy - not Caia) and were told by the breeder that he forgot that he promised a friend that he could have first pick. We "ended up" with Caia, but she was the best thing that could have happened to us.

With this current puppy situation, we were going though a breeder in Waco, NB but his litter wasn't born yet. We still put down a deposit and hoped that we would get one- we had third pick on a yellow male. Well, she only had 2 puppies!! So we took back our deposit and went with a VERY well known breeder in Scotsbluff, NB. His puppies are already born and are ready a month before the other one would have been. So here he is... We don't know a name yet but we get him on the 21st. I can't wait. I'm so in love with him already. Out of the names in the previous post, none were agreed on and I love the name Boss now. I'm still trying to convince Nick.
You can bet that I will post much more often when he comes into our lives. :)

I'm a new woman!

Let me first say that I feel like a brand new person. I also feel like the past 2 weeks have been lived in a daze. I got to the point today where I couldn't stand the pain so I called my chiropractor and got in after I got off. I know chiropractors are highly debated but I love mine - she is like family; literally, she was invited to both my sister and my graduation party and will of course be invited to our wedding. :)

I couldn't get in until 5:00 so when I got there, she told me that she came back in to work just to see me- She's that amazing! When I got in the back, I explained everything that had been going on so she looked at my ear and then took my blood pressure. My blood pressure was 128/97 which is boarderline high and my heart was beating pretty fast. So she adjusted me and it was like 50 pounds was taken off my shoulders and my headache was magically gone, gone, gone!!! She took my blood pressure after and it was 119/72 and my heart beat decreased by 20bpm. I apparently wasn't getting the appropriate amount of blood and oxygen to my brain and this was the result. She is worried about the elevating blood pressure so she asked to have my dad (the firefighter) take it daily to monitor it and make sure there are no dramatic changes.

I told her after I was done that I felt that I could run a marathon, however she advised against it. So I'm being very careful with myself as I patiently wait for tomorrow to have my "date day" with my amazingly perfect Nicky poo :)

What's wrong with me?

For the past 2 weeks, I've been suffering from severe, I mean SEVERE headaches. They used to come in the afternoon around 3-4 and they've been coming earlier and earlier as they progress. This morning, I woke up at 5:45 to have my mom do my hair (french braid) as I can't do it myself. I woke up to a pounding ache in my head, she did my hair and then I went back to sleep till 8:25 - however I was supposed to be up at 7:55 because I had to leave my house at 8:30 to drive 30 minutes to work. As of now, it isn't as strong as it was this morning but it's definately letting me know it's there.

I wish I was only having headaches - To add to the pain, my eyes are dialiating, one pupil gets huge and the other gets pin point tiny. AND I've been having terrible pains in my right ear that travel to the base of my neck. I hate the doctors and I really don't want to drive to the chiropractor because I always leave there feeling very queezy.

Nick has been comforting to this whole situation, dimming the lights for me and turning the TV down so low that I know he questions the reasoning of watching it but I appreciate it and I love him dearly for it. I've been planning a day with just him for a while and that day is tomorrow, however we may be spending time in the doc's office, romantic, eh?

School starts next Wednesday and I find myself really not wanting to go back. For whatever reason, I took 2 math classes; teaching math for elementary teachers and statistics! UGH! What was I thinking? Statistics is a worthless class. I took it in high school and struggled then. I'm praying that things are better than I'm expecting.

My head is pounding so I'm grabbing a magazine and cuddling up by the fire to read it as the kids watch Scooby Do.

Update:

So much has happened since I last posted.

Nick finally graduated from Mines after 4.5 long years but I'm so proud of him. We threw him a great party the following Saturday and I was able to finally show off my amazing video I made for him. For only having a few weeks to put together 300 pictures and choosing 6 songs, I believe this is my best one yet - and I've done 5 in the past.

Christmas:
We had an EXCELLENT Christmas - We have exciting news!! We are getting a puppy. He's a yellow lab. However, he's not born yet; conceived but not born. He's due on the 19th and we can finally get him on March 16th. However... he's in Waco, Nebraska which is like 7.5 hours from us so it's going to be a long drive back and an even longer drive out there. I have several names I'm interested in but have yet to toss them at Nick.

The names I like so far are:
Ike
Zeke
Coper - Nick used to chew Copenhagen so I've been partial to this name
Mojo
Reese (I realllllly like this one)
Moki
Dakota (Kota for short)
Tank
Jace (I also really love this name because it means Healer)
Barley
Trigger
Rigel
Hudson (A dear friend named her new baby Hudson and I absoultely love it)
